Floor plan
The features of a well- designed residential floor plan include wall studs and sheathing, doors, windows, stairs, casements and fixtures, and porches/ decks. The wall stud and sheathing is pretty much the bare bones of the house, and once you trim and do the walls the house starts to come together. The next thing we draw is the doors which is easy but a bit time consuming because if the door is not centered you have to measure exactly where it goes. Then you finish drawing it. Next is the windows which are definitely hard to draw and very time consuming, but you do not have to draw every single one you can copy and paste some of them. Then you draw the stairs which all you have to do is measure the dimensions then draw it, and you are good. Casements and fixtures are easy to put in because in all honesty I just eye where they go and they look about right. After that you just draw the porch and deck, dimension, and right names and notes.
