In unit 6 we had to prove our skills of orthographic drawings and make orthographic drawings with front views, right side views, and top views. Following that in unit 8 we had to dimension all of the orthographic drawings we had just did in unit 6.

In unit 7 we had two projects that proved if we knew how to really do orthographic drawings or not. We did an IPhone 6 plus and an IPhone 5. The people who finished the IPhone 6 plus got to make a case for it, but the people who did not finish had to move on and make the IPhone 5.
reflection
I met this standard by getting all the work I needed to get done on time. I had to learn the components of orthographic drawings such as hidden lines and layer, construction lines and layer, and center lines and layer. I also met this standard by watching the video with Uncle Jim who explained all the steps and rules to dimensioning the orthographic drawings. This standard was very easy. Demonstrating the use of alphabet of lines was a very simple thing to achieve. Also controlling entities such as layers, colors, and line types was easy to achieve.
This standard has real-world application because when you become an engineer or an architect you need to know how to use different layers of orthographic drawings. You also need to be able to dimension them because dimensioning is a big key factor when it comes to engineering and architecture. If the dimensioning is wrong the whole project will be wrong in the long run.
This standard has inspired me to further discover dimensioning and following all the steps and rules better. This is because if I want to become an engineer or architect I need to be able to dimension and draw orthographic drawings correctly.
