Standard 3 is all about demonstrating and describing the preparation of electrical plans. Standard 3.1 states to interpret and explain basic codes and symbols related to electrical plans. Single-pole switches are light switches that connect lights to a single switch. Recessed lights are lights that are built into the ceiling. Water proof switches and outlets are light switches that are waterproof and are good for an outdoor area. Standard 3.2 says to prepare an electrical plan. In the artifacts you can see that I made an electrical plan based off the housing project I did this semester. Standard 3.3 states to demonstrate using Computer- Aided Design software related to preparing electrical plans. When using Revit all you do is go to the ceiling plan then lighting and you place the lights wherever you want them to be. I met this standard by doing all the work I needed to do and by keeping up with the schedule. This standard has real- world application because if you want to become an architect you need to be able to make electrical plans based on the lighting you want for that house. My future learning goals are just to better my understanding of how to make an electrical plan.
